Description
Kisspeptin-10 is an effective vasoconstrictor and angiogenesis inhibitor.Kisspeptin-10 inhibits tumor metastasis
through its receptor GPR54.The kisspeptin-10-GPR54 system plays an important role in embryonic kidney
development.Kisspeptin-10/GPR54 signaling induces osteoblast differentiation through NFATC4-mediated
BMP2 expression.

Kisspeptin was originally identified as a human metastasis suppressor gene that has the ability to suppress melanoma
and breast cancer metastasis. Kisspeptin-GPR54 signaling has an important role in initiating secretion of gonadotropin-
releasing hormone (GnRH) at puberty from the anterior pituitary.
